Amron, a division of AMTEC Corporation, is a world leader in the production of medium caliber ammunition cartridge cases (20mm, 25mm, 30mm and 40mm), and is the sole producer of these cartridge cases for the US Department of Defense. Amron performs all required processes (cut, impact extrude, draw, machine, heat treat and anodize or paint) in-house to manufacture cartridge cases from metal bar stock (brass, aluminum and steel).
Amron also produces various metal parts in support of ammunition products, including grenade bodies embossed using a Fenn Mill.
Located in Antigo, Wisconsin, Amron provides modern facilities and equipment, highly qualified personnel, and substantial financial resources to ensure high quality, reliable products delivered on-time. Metal Forming & Plating
Amron has been producing cartridge cases and munition components for the US Department of Defense since 1954, and operates in a 235,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Amron is the only manufacturer of medium caliber cartridge cases in the US that performs all manufacturing processes under one roof.
Manufacturing Processes: Amron receives raw material into its facility (Brass, Aluminum and Steel) from approved vendors. Manufacturing processes include Cold Forming, Annealing, Machining, Heat Treating and Finishing. Modern equipment includes two anodizers, two paint systems, one zinc plating line, and one phoscoat line. Machining is done on state-of-the-art equipment designed for machining all types and shapes of metal stock.
Personnel: Experienced workforce that includes design and manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, finance, contracts, human resources, procurement, and production operations.
